A Master Class
Choose the right retail model before you invest a penny
Making sure your dream never becomes a nightmare
This master class helps you find the retail model that actually fits you — your capital, your risk tolerance, your life — and then builds a custom plan around it.
Not sure what your options are? Take a look at the most successful retail models below.
The problem
The idea isn't the risky part. Implementing the wrong model is.
Nearly everyone who opens a retail business is focused on the outcome instead of the input. The vision in your head needs to be translated into a structure that works for you — your capital, your day-to-day life, your risk tolerance. Choosing the right model is the single most important decision you'll make — make it a good one.

Where this comes from
Real experience. Real results. Real lessons.
Years across finance & retail
From nearly a decade in finance at PwC to almost twenty years building, operating and advising retail businesses.
Years as owner & operator
Investing my own money, signing leases, buying inventory, hiring teams, managing cash flow — and living with every decision.
Sales per square foot
Built a specialty retail business and expanded into one of Grand Central Terminal, NYC's premier retail destinations.
Product margins
Maintained margins above 70% through private label programs, disciplined buying and sell-through optimization.
Revenue growth
My first store taught me the power of location. The second time around I applied the lesson — and the result was ten times the revenue.
Retail models operated
Brick and mortar, shop-in-shop, mobile and e-commerce — not to mention experiential and private label programs. The goal isn't to pick the “best” model. It's to find the “right” model for each situation.
Questions
Before you enroll
Do I need to already know what I'm selling?
No. Plenty of people arrive with a clear product and no idea how to sell it physically, and plenty arrive with a strong sense of the experience they want to create and a product still taking shape. The assessment works either way — it's about matching a structure to your circumstances.
Is this only for people opening a brand-new business?
Not at all. Existing business owners use it to evaluate a second location, test a mobile or pop-up extension, or reconsider whether the model they started with is still the right one.
How much capital do I need to make this worthwhile?
There's no minimum. In fact, the less capital you have, the more the model decision matters — it's exactly the situation where choosing a lower-commitment path can be the difference between launching and never starting at all.
How long does it take?
You move at your own pace. The material is structured so you can work through it steadily, and the monthly live sessions and community mean you're supported for as long as you're building.
